comedy = a funny show, something to make you laugh
drama = a serious program, perhaps intense
Both comedy and drama can be TV or movies.
Western = a cowboy story, a story about the Old West of the United States (1800's to roughly the beginning of the 20th Century)
variety = a show with different types of performers all within the same showcase. It is usually presided over by an "MC" (master or mistress of ceremonies) who introduces the various performers, tells the audience a little about them, or perhaps even interviews the performers before or after they perform.
TV series = a single group of the same program which is aired at the same time and on the same network every week, every day or on a regular schedule
movies for TV = these are single or multi-part films which are produced and aired exclusively on television for the first time, as opposed to premiering in a movie theatre. Sometimes the production values for these "TV movies" are different from regular full-length feature films
when a program is "on", it means it is being aired or broadcast on a particular channel at a specific time.

I wish you "Good Watching!"

And your German's awful, also. Don't try to insult people just because they're learning a language, it's one of the hardest things to do.

Ok, back to the question at hand.

1. Comedy: These types of shows and movies are supposed to be funny and make you laugh. "The Office" and The Daily Show with John Stewart are good examples of comedies.
2. Drama: These are serious shows about subjects such as crime, law... Like, "Law and Order", where they investigate crime, catch a criminal, and try him in court would be a drama.
3. Western: These are shows about the "Wild West". They tell stories about cowboys, Indians, crime, love, etc. in the 1800's.
4. Variety... These are usually shows where the actors will perform different skits with their own stories. A skit might be eight minutes long and make fun of a situation in a restaurant, and then there will be another skit about a boat sinking or something. Between the skits they'll maybe have a band play a song for the audience. Though variety shows are older, they don't have that many of them now, but Saturday Night Live or MadTV (if you've heard of those shows) might be considered variety shows.

5. TV Series includes Comedies, "Sitcoms" (Situational Comedies), Dramas and Variety shows. There aren't really that many Western series on TV. Basically it's a show with a regular cast and usually some underlying story. Law and Order, CSI, NCIS, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Saturday Night Live, Survivor and other shows are considered TV Series.

6. A Movie is a longer type of show... You're right in thinking it's more of a "Hollywood" type production, but they do make movies that are for TV and DVD only that never go to the cinemas. Otherwise, you'll see movies on TV all the time, but they focus on one story over the course of a couple of hours at once, whereas a TV Series might focus on a few stories over the course of an hour every week... If that makes sense.
