yea I have made prayers something like that before many times. Sometimes I just cry my eye's out and ask Him why??? Why so much pain, suffering, death and darkness in the world... I literally scream at Him.. WHY? and beg Him to forgive those on earth that do bad deeds and help guide them to Him. And ofcoarse I ask him to be with and watch over everyone in the world that needs him, make sure they are held close and tucked in safely.
The evil things are still there when I wake up. But there is still that hope that my prayer was answered and maybe alot of those suffering were helped, and those that are bad saw the light. You never know. All ya can do is have faith and believe. And yes... I do like your question and will give it a star. This is one of my favorite prayers with a little extra added on it though.

no i don't usually pray that. God does love everyone, even if they have not chosen to live for Him.
trust ME ... that is NOT the real prayer.
i pray that God will open the eyes & hearts of those who are closed to Him.
i pray they will come to the knowledge of the truth & be SAVED.
that is the REAL prayer.
if you have blessings on earth & great wealth, but are not saved, you life has been a complete failure.

None except Televangelists who mint money, tarnishing and molesting at the image of God! The substance of the prayer you quoted is deeply rooted in my heart as I sincerely share the happiness and sorrows of my brethren. I believe God is not Evil and He has some plans on His creations and it is not on my card to interfere in His intentions. God does not interfere with his creation and He does not violate the laws of Nature. Thus through prayers you can't restore youth to the old, the limbs to the lame and teeth to the teethless - issues judiciously avoided by evil anti-social Televangelists.

We're not here for happiness on earth. Of course, I want it as much as the next person, but I don't think that this is something I would want to pray to God about.
Instead, I frequently pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet:

"For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world."
I think that God is more interested in Mercy than earthly happiness when it comes to his creatures.

I wont pray anything that is not revealed by God in His Word to BE His will today.
God has already blessed the world.....and happiness is fleeting and very much related to our circumstances. When they are goin good, we are happy...when they arent, we are sad.
God promised JOY, and that isnt affected by anything !
God has a plan and purpose for us. It is our responsibility to align ourselves with HIS goals...not to tell Him what He OUGHT to be doing to pamper us selfish brats who want to tell HIM what to do!

I pray for Jerusalem and Israel, as for those different worldwide places, united states of america Obama is without delay going against the Lord's commandment of homosexuality and he condones it, How can our lord god bless something which He forbids?
