"Jews that die without believing that Jesus, who is God, died for their sins on the cross and rose again. Those Jews go to eternal hell, just as all unbelievers (Jewish or Gentile) go to eternal hell for rejecting this truth about Jesus to their dying breath."

How messed up in the head do you have to be to actually believe this?
I am so fed up with christians in the U.S. I am ready to leave. Any secular Europeans want to adopt me?

Hi,
Most people including Christians believe that God will punish sinners in some sort of eternal hell fire. This is dogma that has been passed down for centuries. The Bible doesn't state this at all. There seems to be confusion as to what the Lake of Fire represents in the Book of Revelation to some people. It's true that it represent total destruction for Satan and his minion (along with death), but someone really twisted it. I'm sorry you have been negatively influenced by this dogma. The scriptures are beneficial for teaching and reproving, but in the hands of the maniacal, it can be menacing. God in not a tyrant, and the life of Christ proves this.

Be thankful you have a country to live in. I'm a Christian in the US also but I tell you to just ignore me and Christians in general. But always remember that God loves you and everyone else in the world that he died alone on the cross, naked, and whipped, and beaten. And most of all he was a Jew. The Jews have been discriminated unjustly as far as I am personally concerned for that act. I say it was the whole world that did that to him for it was the Roman government that executed him on that day.

This was not an ordinary human being that did that. It was God who did that for he was God in the flesh. There is no other religion but the Jewish religion that says that God would give up his life for all humanity. That is the salvation message for all races.

Whatever your decision in life is, do not give up hope.

Yes it is very ignorant, and typical fundy judgmental attitude!
I would be interested in knowing what the Hebrew faith is! I know for instance that Jews are a race, not a religion! The fundies on here, well some fundies are rude to everyone that does not follow their tenets right down the line! They don't impress me at all! I just laugh at their ignorance! Other tenets I respect, as long as they don't attack me,and what I believe! I am sorry, as one person to another, that someone was rude, and cruel to you!
But, not all of us are like that! We don't judge!
Myself, I don't care if you are Jewish, Muslim, or Jehovah Witnesses! You can be Catholic, Protestant, Mormon, and Lutheran! Baptist,Pentecostal, or Seventh Day Adventist! You can be Amish, or Quaker! AND YOU CAN BE atheists! And if I missed anyone, i am sorry! I know there are a lot of faiths out here!
This the United States of America! You have the right to practice and believe what ever religion you choose to!

I agree, that's pretty ignorant. Try this bumper sticker I saw:

"Win the War on Terror, Pray the Rosary Daily"

I'm not a secular European, and I believe in-how do I phrase this- some kind of higher power/God/Universal Consciousness, but I am getting sick of religious intolerance and bigotry.

I agree with you. I'm up to religious bile to my ears in the United States. (Note: I live in Lynchburg, the same place where the biggest private school in the state, Liberty University, teaches that the earth is 6,000 years old and where every radio station broadcasts a preaching segment).

Fortunately for the separation of church and state, I'm free to believe and behave as I wish, but I think it would be a nicer environment if I lived in Europe, where most people are tolerant, respectful, and keep religion as a private affair. I'm not disputing their freedom to do so, as allowed under the Constitution, merely the hateful and often dogmatic basis of their sermons.

Any secular Europeans (preferably men with British accents) care to adopt me? Teasing, but sometimes I dream of leaving the country and trying out the more progressive filaments of another.

The purpose of religion is to provide a belief in an afterlife and thereby assuage the fear that all that you are simply ceases to exist when you die. Religion's second purpose is to amass followers. What better way to amass followers than to tell them something bad will happen to them if they don't follow. Thus we have the Religious Dogma in ALL religions that ; "We're right and you're wrong". It causes wars, millions of innocent deaths in the name of various deities, countless heated arguments, and argumentative questions such as yours.
In my opinion, any belief system that keeps people from hurting other people is okay with me. We just haven't found it yet.

What makes this ignorant? Christ himself said that He was the Way, the Truth, and the Life and that none shall come to the Father except through Him. God loves each and every one of us, so much so that He humbled Himself to become as man, to die nailed to a cross, whipped and beaten, suffering for our sins. God's plan for us is simple: to acknowledge that we have broken His law, to understand that to break His law brings death but He provided a means for all people of all places to meet Him -- at the foot of the cross. All we must do is recognize our sins, repent of them, and put our faith in Christ, by whose blood we have been cleansed. But God respects the free will He has given us. If we live our lives rejecting Him, then when we die, we get our desire: an eternity without God's presence. God doesn't send us there, we choose to go because we choose not to believe God. Only, as we live our lives here on this earth, each of us desires to live in whatever manner we please, accountable to no one. So when we are told there is One who will hold us accountable for our choices, we claim that it is ridiculous and intolerant and ignorant. Miranda, Christ bled and died for you. He's waiting there at the cross, for you to put your faith and trust in Him because He loves you. He will never leave nor forsake you. He is always faithful and dependable. Please don't walk away from Him without seriously considering what He has said and is asking of you. There are many choices in life, but only one Truth.
God bless you

Please do leave.
You are a nosy busybody.
We don't need your type in our country.
Go where they will tolerate you and your judgemental, nosy, bigoted attitude.
How does it hurt Jews for some Christians to think this?
How is it your business?
I'm sure there are many Jews, Muslims and others who think I will go to hell. I really don't care what they think. Why do you?
Maybe you have too much time on your hands so you have appointed yourself the belief police. We don't need that in America, so you should go. Last I heard there was freedom of religion. This allows anyone to think they are going to heaven or any place else after they die and everyone else will not be joining them. Actually, the founding fathers who gave us that freedom likely had the same belief you complain about Christians having (most of them were Christians).
LEAVE NOW.
And, no, there are likely no people in europe who want your kind in their family or country.
Your type is a cancer to a society.
Alway whining about the beliefs of others.
develop your own beliefs and follow them.
Leave others to do the same.

It is NOT ignorant, but happens to be the truth of God from His Word.

Anyone can be saved and guaranteed heaven by following Gods criteria of believing in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ONLY means of being reconciled to God. This is GODS PLAN, so if you would like to stand there like a total fool and call GOD ignorant, then be my guest.

My opinion is that it is YOU who are the ignorant one here.

God has provided a way for every man , woman and child to enter heaven. You can accept the righteousness HE PROVIDED for you to be able to enter, or you can choose the alternative.

God considers those who dont take advantage of this offer as messed up in the head.

It is HIM you will have this final argument with, NOT we christians. Think about it. Its a serious thing.

I don't know that it is the MOST ignorant thing I have ever heard. But in my personal opinion it is ignorant.

Christians believe that God is faithful. Our Jewish brothers and sisters are accountable to God just as we are. But God is a merciful judge.

No Christian should ever presume to judge for God or to decide the fate of God's children. They should remember our scripture says "Judge not lest you be judged".

It would be sad if you left. Our great nation needs people of character like you. We may not agree on faith issues but I respect your views and your wisdom.
