Your right, but imagine you were living in Britain, we already have a communist government; shutting down the freedom of speech, expression and the right to be a Native. Believe me you Americans have it made; by the way, that skunk Tony Blair you all loved was hated here. Your question is one of relativity, even if Yahoo is the worst of your gripes.
I do feel sorry for you with dear old George of course but he can't help being a plank can he, the worrying thing is of course that most of you voted him in. Not once but twice and your complaining about Yahoo get a Life old Friend.

First, understand that free speech does not mean that you can say anything anywhere. If I go to a very religious friends house, I would not expect to be allowed to spew blasphemy. When I go to a liberals house, I do not try to force my beliefs on them. When someone comes to my home, racist and bigoted comments will get you kicked out the door.
Free speech does not mean that you can go to a place someone is hosting and say whatever you want. They have the right to moderate. Now, free speech does mean that you are more than welcome to start a forum where people can say what they want how and when they want. THAT is your right. If you want to create a flyer or pamphlet and share it with people on the street you can.

As an US Air Force Veteran. I find your generalization totally without merit. Freedom is not Free. You cannot yell fire in a crowded theater. Your rights are no better than anyone else's rights. Left or Right. Christian or Atheist. Pro Life or Pro Choice.
All I know is that I and a lot of others like me went to war to protect those important freedoms and rights. We knew going in that we may not make it home. But the cause was just and the reward of knowing you made a difference in saving the Constitution was worth the cost.

Okay, first, do you have a question? Remember:
Venting, ranting, or using hate speech.
Yahoo! Answers isn't a soapbox to vent personal frustrations or rant about issues. We are a community of people with diverse beliefs, opinions, and backgrounds, so please be respectful and keep hateful and incendiary comments off Yahoo! Answers.
Once we get past that, you seem to think that free speech is the rule here. It isn't. You may have the right to "free speech" somewhere, but as a guest in my home, I have the right to suppress certain subjects. Likewise, this is not the public, this is a venue owned and operated by Yahoo who have the right to set rules and consequences for violation of the rules in their web space. So, consider yourself a guest in Yahoo's home, and follow their rules.

Freedom of speech is not freedom for anarchy. Even in the most raucous and open debates, there are rules of participation. I can't imagine any place that is an out and out free for all. Even "hate group" forums have rules.

Yahoo Answers is not a forum for expressing your opinions, it's a place to ask questions. It's not called Yahoo Opinions.
If you don't like it, why are you here? Good luck with the boycott; it appears many people enjoy the site as is.

I think that the decisions can be a little lame / they lack judgement / common sense.
a 24 hour boycott might be a good idea to send the message lol.
let me know when you propose and i'll support you.

Freedom of speech must not be curtailed but participants on this forum must follow the rules.
