Needs HDTV, UXGA (1600 x 1200), 1080i, 2000 ANSI, contrast 2000:1 for $1200. Using it for gaming and movies. It has to be portable on the go.

Something like the InFocus Corp LP70+ Projector and the Dell 3400MP Projector. What are your suggestions? Looking for an online purchase but a retailer is fine.

Frankly, for $1200 you can do better than either of these. You should not be paying more than about $800 for native 720p pj's with these specs.

Six of one, a half dozen of the other, You pay for what you get in features, brightness, contrast, etc etc etc.

The most important thing is that the projector will have only ONE native resolution. Which means, with your multiple resolutions, that the rest will not look AS good. So decide what input is most important and be prepared for a liitle reduction in quality for all the others. Higher & lower has no effect as all will be foreign resolutions.
