no tax unless you reside in the same state as the company you order from, the problem is, shipping costs for ammunition are really high beacuse they are ORMD ( other restricted material class hazmat) If you are near arizona, get it from J&G sales, they have good prices, and you an pick it up there if your close enough. 30.06 ammo isn't cheap no matter where you go. Also try picking up a copy of shotgun news at barnes and noble or other magazine and book stores, it lists a lot of discount ammo suppliers and wolf brand is usually close to the least expensive ( it's russian)

Go to a site called "Cheaper Than Dirt". They have about the best prices for ammo of all the online sites. If they have a business address in your state, you will have to pay the sales tax. If not, then there will be no sales tax. The rub is that you have to pay a hazardous cargo fee for your shipment no matter where you live. Unless you are buying in large quantaties, this fee is usually enough to offset any savings you might have by buying online rather than buying at a local store and paying the tax.

It's not really on-line, but one of the ways I found to get cheap ammo was to look for a local handloader. You might put an ad in shotgunner news or ask around at a local range. I haven't been shooting as much as I used to, but when I was living in Tx I used to shoot a lot, target practice and skeet, plus bird hunting dove and quail. I found this guy who was retired that would reload my 9mm and shotgun shells for cost plus a fee. I would bring in my expended casings and he would reload it to my specs, he did a great job. It was a win-win for both of us. I saved some serious bucks on ammo and he made some extra bucks on the side. No hassles with taxes or fees either. Good luck!

if you are wanting consistancy stay away from cheao ammo. cheap ammo have been known not to fire and at times explode in guns.wold ammo is horrible. it is a very dirty shooting bullet.their quailty is horrible. i have pulled many bullets out of the casings just sitting out side.sure it will cost more to get good ammo but it is safe.i have bought several boxes of ammo off of gunbroker.com .

I prefer to buy from
http://www.midwayusa.com
Over
http://www.cheaperthandirt.com
But, I have purchased ammo from both. Midway USA has the best customer service and they go out of their way to save you money on shipping.
