This is the second time you have posted this question. Getting an antibiotic injection will not guarantee that you will not get well any faster. Usually when you get injection of antibiotic it means that sometimes you need to come back and get more injections. It all depends on the bacteria that causes your infection. The antibiotic injection will leave the body sooner whereas the pills will give you the greater coverage for almost about three weeks or more. Injectable antibiotics are very rarely used only when the bacteria is clearly identified. Such would be the case of syphilis, staph infections of open wounds. A broad spectrum oral antibiotic is used in cases of Upper Respiratory Infection as the bacteria is not known.

Ok here we go i'll give the the truth hardcore!

Ok so last time i was aware polio is given to you oraly by some salty drops thats painless. (but maybe its diffrent were you are...)
Tenatus will just be a prick like anyother needle it won't hurt like the BCG but it will sting like a bugger afterwards....
Diptheria i'm not sure of but it doesn't ring a bell from hearing about the worse injections so you should be fine prob just another little prick.

Being skinny shouldn't effect it at all plus the nurse should be use to all kinds of diffrent people.

Tetanus shots aren't the most comfortable thing in the world. You will be kinda sore for a day or two, almost like someone gave you a light punch in the area where they inject it. As far as the injection itself, it's nothing more than a little pinch. The polio and diphtheria shots are a piece of cake.

Best of luck!

Basically, it'll be all over before you know it, so you won't have time to worry about if its going to hurt, and unless the nurse is a maniacal syringe stabbing maniac (which she won't be!) she (or he) has probably given injections thousands of times! Being skinny will make no difference in the pain, it doesn't hurt!! You might feel a bit rough for a couple of days after.

Start worrying if you ever have to have an epidural x

If its done with the standard needle, your arm will be pretty sore, but if its done with the air-gun method, it will only hurt for a few minutes. The best thing to do right after you get the shots, is to do about 25 one handed pushups, then switch over to the other hand and repeat the same number of pushups, this will make you forget all about the sore arm.

It won't hurt you at all. Just a scratch and all over. Now if you were having the spinal injections I have every 3 months then you would worry! A needle as long as your arm being inserted length ways up the spine is very painful indeed.

The skin test is nothing......its just someone pushing hard against your skin i didn't even know there was needles. The actual injection bored me! I am TERRIBLE with injections and they purposely choose smaller needles (orange colour i think) so its not as large. But don't worry i actualy turned around and asked the woman if she had taken it out because i couldn't feel it go in and im skinny as hell!

I can't remember my polio and diptheria shots but I do remember my tetanus shot and it hurt. But you have to have them to get into school so suffer like everyone else does...good luck.

it hurts a little but the only advice that I would give to my friends is to not watch as the needle goes into the arms and also to stay as relaxed as possible. As if you keep the muscle relaxed it wont hurt as much. I hope this advice helps you. Good luck and Relax you will be fine. Honest!!!!
