Search warrants must have more than just the address, it must describe the property to be searched.
If there is a mistake, the police could still search the right residence. It will be up to the judge who signed the warrant and then the trial judge as to the legality of it. We would need more specific information to give a better answer.

A mistake does not make a warrant invalid.

As long as the content of the warrant is correct, the court will honor it.

If the location is in a different jurisdiction than the officers servint the warrant, now you may have an issue.

Think we need a little more info to explain how this happened. What is wrong location at the proper address?
