I'd definitely play a live tournament. You get to see the body language. Internet play, there's too much calling with bad hands and getting beat by all the suck outs....

You could play several tournaments online but probably only one live tournament with $100. But you're gonna have to jump thru some hoops to deposit the money to be able to play online. I play live tournaments at two dog tracks in Florida. They use to have a $40 tournament on wednesday and friday but they just changed the law so they could have a bigger payout, now they don't have $40 tournaments, they start at $100 and up so I don't play nearly as much as I use to.
I'm cheap....and not nearly good enough to be paying $100 every time I want to play.

Play online. The reason is this: Live that $100 is going to be one shot for the tourny. And as a small buyin tournament the blind structure will be quite fierce.

Howerver, online you can split that $100 into several smaller buy-ins making your risk a safer one, and a better investment by giving yourself more oportunities to win.

I always prefer to play live games. I enjoy the challenge of reading people and seeing their face when I take their money. I also trust live games more. There's just something about seeing the cards and your chips. You may also find better payouts in a live game versus several small online games.

Play live man!! I have playing live poker for over 12 years and am much less successful at internet poker. In my experience, internet players play much looser (and poorer) than live players. This can be good, but causes huge swings in your bankroll in the meantime. And you can learn so much more information by observing your opponents in person. Live poker is true poker, and always will be.
