that I can download to see what temperature my processor is running?

My favorite is speedfan.

But no program can see temperatures unless there is a thermocouple that was put there. If there is no sensor ...there is nothing to read.

Some computer companies remove the sensor to save a few pennies and help desk calls saying its too hot.

You might get something for/with your motherboard.

When I built my last machine, I put in an Intel m/board (Still badged as an Intel motherboard - but made by someone else). It came with sensors for CPU & 2 zones). It has adjustable warning threshold & a decent amount of customisation.
