Im sick and tired of colege sports or a silly basketball game taking the time away from showing the races.
What is your thoughts about it.

I tried telling you guys earlier this season....ESPN is not the racing powerhouse they used to be. ESPN's NASCAR coverage sucks now. They used to be #1, but since they didn't want to pony up the bucks to keep covering NASCAR, they lost their edge. Fox now rules as the king of NASCAR coverage.

As far as them covering something other than NASCAR, I'm still used to them doing that since the mid-80's. At least they will now cover the end of a race, instead of cutting off with about 10 to go. I've watched many, many a race, only to have to wait until the next week to find out who won the previous week's race.

BTW.....you younger fans really need to quit griping!!! We older NASCAR fans had it rough trying to even FIND a NASCAR race on TV during the late 70's and early/mid-80's. If you wanted to find out the results of the races, you either had to have a subscription to National Speed Sport News, or go to the race yourself. There was no Speed TV, no ESPN, no RPM2Nite, no Raceday, no NASCAR Now, no Jayski.com, no NASCAR.com, no internet at all, local newpapers wouldn't know what a race was if one was run in their office, and the local news on tv wasn't any better. You guys have it pretty cooshy when it comes to NASCAR news.

ESPN coverage rather does suck, I actual have cable and mine additionally minimize out for 5+ minutes! Plus the added small exhibit screen with the consistent coverage the crap! Nascar could merely stay with FOX, no count if the you look after the commentators or no longer, Fox does have the excellent "all around" coverage of the race! Why do no longer they a minimum of change monitors, and make the race stay on the completed exhibit screen, and the small exhibit screen grow to be the commercials!

What are you talking about? from what I can see the race started when it should have
here is the schedule
.http://www.kansasspeedway.com/news/track_news/539379.html
And they are in the central time zone I do believe that would make it 3:30 in the east.
what do you want me to say? I am thrilled I didn't have to hear them interview all the cup drivers that will be talked to tomorrow if I were to watch the race at Kansas but I don't because I seem to fall asleep during races at cookie cutters.

The Pre-show moved to ESPN Classic. Both of today's practice for Cup are not going to be live, as were/are being aired later. Unlike SpeedTV, which airs most Nascar and other racing series live when possible. I talk about it more on my blog.

The race coverage did start on time. Only the pre-game show was cut out due to the football game. At race time, they cut off the football. Imagine how the LSU/Tulane fans feel!

Would you want the end of a race cut off because the preshow coverage for a football game was started? It can work both ways you know...
