I own a 99 pathfinder 2 wheel drive with a 3.3L V-6,the front brakes lock up and skid if I press the peddle hard,even worse in the rain,very hard to control stopping,and also scary..no lights on dash are on? what is the cause of this problem...all brakes are new,it stared making a huming noise coming from the front driver side wheel when stopping,I removed it and found nothing wrong?? please help if you know why this is happening...

The hum noise should be the anti lock brake pump working. Sounds like a trip to the dealership to get the antilock brake system checked out. Your brake system 2wd is three channels two for front and one channel for rear. The wheels should never lock up and skid then the system is functioning
