I have 3 kids, 4yr old, 3yr old 4 mo old. I work full time. So I'm always busy. At work I only get a lunch break. I never eat breakfast because I always have to get myself and my kids ready right before work. I have found myself eating one meal per day. I'm always really busy. Once I get off work I have to make dinner. And by the time I'm done feeding the kids I have to get everything ready for tomorrow. By the time I get my self to bed I realise I haven't ate anything. But than I'm too tiered and just go to bed. So I have noticed that I have lost a significant amount of weight. My coworker says I look like I lost around 10lbs in a couple of weeks. I get hungry but nothing looks good. I find myself forcing food in my mouth. But then I feel like my body wants to reject it. I don't vomit but it feels like thats what my body wants to do. Its not like I want to loose weight. I have a very fast matabolism so even if i were to stuff my face I never really gain weight. What should I do?

Wow this one really hit home because I do that alot of the time. I never have an appetite. In highschool everyone thought I was bulemic or annorexic, but I ate ALL the time. I could not gain anything over 105 lbs. When I got pregnant with my son I gained 40 lbs and lost it in two weeks. I have a very high metabolism. So at the request of my doctor I kept a diary of what I ate and I began drinking instant breakfast's in between meals because I wanted to know why I couldn't gain anything. Never ever ever drink those like that! I got up to 160 years AFTER I stopped drinking them and am trying to get back down now. I contributed it to stress. If I ate I felt sick. Which actually if you don't eat 3 meals a day or the same quantity of food you can actually shrink your tummy a bit. So the portions you used to eat, will need to be small until it expands a bit. Sounds like you might have some anxiety issues like me. Just breathe and relax a bit. You should try to eat WITH your kids. Sounds like you need to re-think your time management. Maybe try doing the stuff you can at night for the next mornings so you don't have too much to do.

I know what it's like to have small children and a very busy career to manage. But you cannot take good care of your family if you don't take proper care of yourself and stay healthy. Breakfast is a must. Get some protein, fruit and calcium into you first thing in the morning. Sit down with the children at supper and eat with them, no matter what else you think you have to do. Then once they're asleep and your day's work is done, have a cup of hot chocolate and a bit of fruit. Chill. Even if a few things have to go undone, you'll be calmer, sleep better, and be ready to tackle another day!

Where is your husband? You have 3 kids and you work. Lady, manage to live on his salary. You are stressed to the max and before too long you will be sick.

Can you handle an energy bar for breakfast and lunch? That may help because you can eat them throughout the day.

Does your mother live close by so that she can help? Before it gets too bad, find a church and tell the pastor that you need some help. He'll assign an older woman to you and she can teach you how to cope or she may just help you.

You must do something before you get too sick to take care of your children. You are a bundle of nerves. I'm sure that you suffer with fear, anxiety and stress.

Older women in the church know how to help a young mother. They have been through many tough times themselves. The older women are suppose to teach the younger women how to cope with problems such as yours. The Bible instructs the older women to do this. I'm an older woman and I've helped young mothers by babysitting and taking a meal so she doesn't have to cook every meal. Sometimes just offering $20.00 so you can stop for fast food helps. If you don't have a husband your finances are stretched to the limit also. Church people like to help because they feel like they are giving a cup of water in Jesus' name. The Lord teaches us that it is better to give than receive. You need help - ask for it.
