I have no idea. My mother considers herself a Christian but not religious, yet she threatens non-Christians with hellfire, organizes with her friends on multiple occasions each week for bible study and church, and is opposed to organ donations because she thinks it will interfere with the rapture. Go figure.
Any shared belief in the supernatural which requires praying to deities or following a code can be considered a religion.

It's a way of life. I'm sure you've heard this before but that is what it is. Not a religion per-se. But the way God wants us to live. This was the way before the Christ came to us and it is what the Christ taught us.
Looking to make converts of you may be reading more into it than what really is. What we are trying to do is assure you that you are loved, and there is a salvation for your soul.
We do not know who has spoken to you before one of us approaches you.
Having said that; we are simply spreading the truth, and you are simply responding.
If this is how you respond then I'm sorry because it is meant to be brought to you with a firm conviction that it is good for one and all. Some Christians feel that they must convert without understanding that it is the ones they approach who do that! Yes you convert. Not the Christian who is trying to, but you by your own volition.
My brothers and sisters in Christ are trying to please our Lord, in doing so you seem to be bothered by us. I'm sorry. It isn't meant to be like that.
It is meant to be helpful. It is meant to be for our good, yours and mine.
The only thing I know of that teaches a personal relationship with Jesus the Christ is the "HOLY BIBLE" and that is the only valid source we have. If a Christian's approach to you is distasteful then please go to the source. Here; the truth will set you free. God Bless and take care.

The practice of pure religion is to do those things that come out of your heart because there is a God and he is a good God who made man in his image.
Those who believe in Jesus Christ recognize that God is the source of good and the reason for good works, which is what pure religion is.

Jesus had not specific religion per say. What he did have was a personal relationship with his father. He is our model to follow after. I consider my self non-denominational Christian. I could visit any denomination and be at home. I know the Bible well and for myself so I feel comfortable about hearing all different view points. Having the Holy Spirit in my directs my understanding so I am not insecure. I can always go to the father and ask, "what does this mean?" In my walk with God I have been privileged to encounter many personal experiences that have opened my understanding of who God is. My understanding however is far from perfect. This is humbling and helps me know that I must stick close to God and avoid my selfish desires that would destroy who he is in me. It also helps me understand other people and the various level in their walk they are at. I urge people to try and know my God because of my experiences but understand in order for them to grow I also urge them to develop their own personal experiences with God them selves other wise for them its just tradition and ritual. I am less judgmental against people because I understand why I came to God was I steeped out in faith as small as a mustard seed and from my experiences with God has grown into a tree that is well rooted. I did not come into my belief because I was scared into it. I came into it because I saw the change in my mother and the love that came from her. (her experience changed her) Later on the same with my father.

I am supposed to witness Christ to all. It's not for me to convert anybody. The Kingdom of God is in you. Salvation is through Jesus Christ.

Islam.
Don't be friends with Jews or Christians:
Sura 5:51: O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for your allies and protectors: They are but allies and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.
]Aden Hashi Farah, a leader of the Somalian guerilla group struggling for control in Somalia, personally recruited some 700 fighters to travel to Lebanon to fight on the Hezbollah's side.
The New York Times reported that Hezbollah apparently paid the Somalian fighter in weapons smuggled from Iran and Syria. They were also reported to have been offered training and generous financial compensation.
Hezbollah officials could not be reached for comment. An Israeli official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said he had not seen report and could not confirm knowledge of Somalian fighters operating alongside Hezbollah during the war.
The UN's report is filled with details of arms shipments to guerilla groups in Somalia. According to the report, the Somali fighters were offered $2,000 for their service, and additional $30,000 to the families of those killed. According to the report, the funds would be donated by "a number of supporting countries."

It is called The True Christian Faith.
"religion" is man's invention.... The True Christian Faith is directly from God to the individual... and those of The Faith are of The Body of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head.... Only those of The Church will enter Heaven.
You are invited to my website at: http://www.mikesfaith.com
to read about some of the basics... from the perspective of one of The Faith.

The con-cept of a personal saviour (partiality) should be addressed and dressed-down for being against God. For there is no respect of persons with God, only against God.
2Chron 19:7 no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor respect of persons
Prov 23:24 [It is] not good to have respect of persons in judgment.
Prov 28:21 To have respect of persons [is] not good
Mt 22:16 Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any [man]: for thou regardest not the person of men.
Rom 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
Eph 6:9 your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.
Col 3:25 there is no respect of persons.
Jam 2:1 have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, [the Lord] of glory, with respect of persons.
Jam 3:17 pure grace is: "without partiality"
1Pet 1:17 if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning [here] in fear(hath torment)
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

As far as I know, all Christian religions teach that we can have a personal relationship with Jesus. My religion teaches this, and when I attended another denomination, they taught it, as well. I don't know of any that do not teach this.
The Bible teaches each of us that we need to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
