Went to LAX a couple of years ago, and it took 12 hours and 40 minutes...but that was straight there - the only other time was after leaving college, and it took 22 hours - changed at Chicago!

Did it recently with Virgin Atlantic.
In an Airbus 340 it took 11 hours 35 minutes. This is about normal. It will vary a bit depending on the wind and any air traffic delays.
