If you own your home, do as you will. If I'm your landlord and find out you're doing it, I'm charging you with the repairs to the disposal, the plumber to snake the lines and letting the sewage treatment plant know because in my hamlet you'll be fined for so doing (we have a list of what not to in-sink-erate, corn cobs and husks are on it)>

It really depends on my mood.
It always starts with lots of butter running all over the place. The more butter, the better, that's MY motto.
After the butter... well... sometimes I'm boring and just add table salt and fresh cracked pepper. Other times, I'll use seasoned salt (store bought or the stuff I make myself) or Mrs. Dash's lemon pepper seasoning.
But the key thing is.... BUTTER... LOTS AND LOTS OF BUTTER. lol

Butter, salt and pepper. Will say the cheese sounds good. EDIT: Who gives thumbs down on an opinionated question, that is a matter of taste? Whom ever it is, just needs a life. My guess a vegetarian or vegan where butter and cheese violate their eating habits. Say yes to butter and cheese.

Just butter and pepper for me! Good ol' Iowa sweet corn is the best. Especially right from the field instead of a store.

Where I live we're lucky to be able to have best corn on the cob in the summer. I eat it straight, no butter no salt no nothing, that is how good our corn is! In fact, we don't even eat corn on the cob unless it's summer so it's the freshest and the best!

Salt, butter, and a tiny sprickling of Brewers' Yeast and that's more than enough for me.

butter and salt
When we were kids and had corn on the cob, we always knew which cob had been daddy's, because he had a gap between his 2 front teeth like David Letterman, and he would leave a very neat row of corn kernels uneaten, left by the gap in his teeth.

You HAVE to try honey- really, a ear of sweet corn with some honey, butter, and salt is the best!
