That depends on the type of helicopter. The smallest and lowest cost popular commercial helicopter is the Robinson R44, and you can purchase one of those brand new for around US$ 400,000, and then it will cost you around $200 per hour to fly it not including pilot wages and insurance. Then you can get into Bell 206 or 407, or Eurocopter AS350 in the $1 to $2.5 million range, and go up to the AW139 or Sikorsky S92 which will be more than $10 million to buy.

Its sort of like asking how much does a car cost - you need to know the make, model, capacity, age, maintenance history, equipment, etc. before you can determine a value.
