Ask the same question and post it at least 3 times on Y/A??????

The last time the British Army were fighting in China was during the Reign of Queen Victoria, so if your dad was there, then by the law of average's that makes you the oldest person to use Y/A.

You don't say what information you have on your father's service.

If you have his Rank, Name and Number you can write to the following address and they will in turn send you a form to complete and return.

Ministry of Defence,
Defence Records 2b.
Bourne Avenue,
HAYES, Middlesex.
UB3 1RF

Once you have returned the form with all relevant information, you should receive a full history of your fathers service from date of joining up until he was demobbed.

Even if you don't know a lot about his service they will still be able to help you.

If your father was entitled to any war medals and hadn't claimed them, you may be able to claim them on his behalf if you are his next of kin. The Medals Office is somehere in Worcestershire, I think it's at Droitwich but not sure of the full address.
