Seeing as how there is starvation in several countries, it would appear that it can't support the current population.
The so-called green revolution caused drastic population increases, but agricultural productivity per acre is dropping again world wide. That is why you will see stastics of production/man-hour instead of per acre touted all the time.

I don't know about infinity, guys..
Even though everyone always say that there are an infinite amount of stars, scientists can always seem to give you a fixed number, or even how old the universe is.
Somehow, I think there's a certain limit to how much Earth can sustain the human population, even today, we have so many potential crises: Famine, Pollution, Overconsumption, Deadly Viruses Everywhere, Ozone Holes, Green House Effects, Global Warming, Countries Stockpiling Nuclear Warheads (What for?), Gigantic Greedy Corporations, Diminishing Land and Resources, Overpopulation, Deforestation and Desertification, Animal Extinction, Destroyed Ecologies, Increasing Crime Rates, etc.
Some of what I say may overlap one another, but you get what I mean.
With all of this chaos, can it really be infinite?

seeing how if you took everybody on earth now and stood them shoulder to shoulder they would only occupy an area the size of jacksonville, florida, i'm guessing the earth could sustain quite a bit more people than it is at present time. however, we may need some more global warming so that crops could grow a little further north and south than they presently can to feed all the extra people.

The elitists just don't want you to know that.
THere is truly enough wealth on this earth for all, if the governments would stop controlling and taking advantage of humans we would be in a great world.

Depends. So long as each human has their biological needs cycle met (air, water, food) and their byproducts (feces, urine) do not corrupt the biological needs cycle.
