Hi. I'm so upset. I've just purchased a Chi iron from Amazon, and it's on its way to Singapore. Then i realised it works on 110 v, and Singapore's voltage is 220v. AND someone said converters/ adaptors do not work on CHI! I'm devastated. Did anyone sucessfully used a CHI iron overseas on a 220V with a converter?

Singapore's frequency is 50hz. What happens if i do not use an inverter? Sorry, I'm pretty bad in physics.

I work with such things as a hobby. I am unfamiliar with such products. I can tell you that there is nothing impossible about a converter which will work. You have to convert to DC. Then you have to use an inverter to convert back to the AC you want. That's mostly because of a slight difference in frequency. Europe is mostly 50 Hz. The United States is 60 Hz. Other than that, a simple transformer should work. You just drop the voltage with a 2:1 transformer. No electronics would be needed if there is no difference in frequency.
Good luck! That's what you'd be looking for if it's available.
