We will be in Tuscany October 11 and 12. We would like to visit a vinyard and winery and also an olive orchard and processor. Can someone recommend a specific place for each; not just city, but business name also? Someone in the area?

Everywhere you go here in Tuscany you can see vinyards / winery and olive orchards. The most famous area for both is the Chianti but really any village in this region has its own place for wine and oil. Unfortunately the days you'll be here are a bit late for the wine and a bit early for the oil but you'll see something anyhow.

Castello Di Merleto located in Gaiole in Chianti. phone 0577/749129 The wine tasting included olive oil and grappa serves with meats and bread. Took about 2 weeks for door to door shipment N.J. This is a castle built in the 11 century and the views are amazing.

Second Azienda Argicoli Poggi Amorelli vino e olio located in Castellina in Chianti Siena email PoggiAmorelli@liberto.it
this is a much smaller vineyard only about 50,000 bottles of a wine a year but also very good and served same as above.
