I wasn't invited as I became aquainted with this person, long after the wedding guest list was set up. However, I was aware of the wedding, the date, even met her fiance. Thing is she moved to Washington the day after the wedding. I didn't have a chance to stop by and congratulate or see her off. I did email her and congratulate her...and commented her on the wedding photos. I got her address now, I was wondering is it tacky to send a gift & congrates card 1 month after the big day. She knows I have a hectic schedual with work and family, so I haven't got to mail the package off yet.
Should I still mail it out or should I just leave it at the email congrats?

I am NOT upset about not being invited. I have already purchase a beautiful wedding album and card for her. I just haven't made it to the postoffice yet. I just don't want to look silly giving her a gift a month later.

If you were looking for the "appropriate" etiquette.. Same as all the silly little etiquette's of a wedding. Then it is considered appropriate to send gifts and congratulations up to one year of the marriage.

I am sure your thought will mean a lot- and I bet she will wish you were invited after all!

Hi. I think that is very thoughtful and appropriate. Actually, I was surprised to read somewhere that people have up to ONE YEAR to send gifts to a bride and groom.

I am sure she will appreciate your thoughtfulness, so go ahead and send it. It is never too late to send out a congratulations card and gift to a newly married couple. You are very thoughtful!

I would definitely send her a gift, if you want to. I heard somewhere that you have a year after the wedding to give a gift. She will appreciate it very much, no doubt, and I think it is very sweet of you to want to do that for her.

It is perfectly acceptable to send a congratulatory gift up to one year after their wedding. You should mail it out the next time you have a chance, it wont be too late.

I think if you like her enough to get her a gift, by all means send it! Who doesnt like getting gifts?!? I see no problem with this. Just my opinion.
