i have a ps3 and i usually use soft cloth. not a paper towel or regular towel because it could make scratches all over the ps3. use something soft like a sweater. when i dont use my ps3, i cover it with a pillow case so dust wont build up on and in it. i always have a clean ps3 everytime i play. also you could use the dust-off air spray.

According to manual (quote): "When dust accumulates in the system vents, remove the dust with a low-powered vacuum cleaner."

Personally, I cover my PS3 with old bandana (when it isn't working) and I'm cleaning it with cloth, which is used for PSP screen or glasses.

i blow in to the top of the ps3 and i take a small car vacume and suck it up once a week. it only takes a second to do and it makes me feel better about the longevity of the machine. i love the ps3
