So, I went to the hairdresser today, very excited to change up my style a little bit and get some sideswept bangs. I had bangs as it was, but they were all pretty much one length and had gotten so long, they were past my eyes.
Well.
It didn't quite come out the way I had expected.
In fact, I frankly think it came out terrible. It's like, angled on one end, straight on the other, and it looks ridiculous. I have naturally super straight hair, so I never really use styling tool other than a curling iron, and trying to fix it with a curling iron makes me mlook like a wannabe 40's movie star. I don't know how to blow dry and hold my brush at the same time, because part of the bangs isn't even long enough to go under the brush.
Has anyone had this problem? What should I do? I'm scared to take scissors to it with my own hands, since I had complete confidence in my hairdresser, and it's terrible, and no confidence in my cutting skills at all.

HELP!

Cutting it yourself will be the worst thing of all. Just wait a week and see if it will do what you want it to do. If it doesn't, go back to the same hairdresser and tell her it's not doing what she (or he) intended it to do. Ask how to make it work, and they will fix it for you.

I had sort of the same problem. I got mine cut and everything and i walked out of the haircuttery really upset because i thought it didn't look good. So i went back and the women said that normally people aren't exactly happy with getting bangs and to give it a week and you'll like it even better. This might not be in your case but within a week i loved my new bangs. Hope this helps!

Oh, you poor thing! She def did not cut them right. I have sideswept bangs, but they are all the same length. My stylist usually texturizes them a bit. If I were you I would go to another stylist and see if they can't fix it or recommend something. I use my flat iron to style mine or my radial brush, but if they won't even go around the brush there is a slight problem. I would def make an emergency run to the best stylist around you...ASAP!!! Good luck honey!

Don't cut anything! Your hair is just tromitized! Whenever you go for a completely different style, it takes about a day for your hair to get used to it! The same thing happened with me! Your hair will naturally fall into a better look by tomorrow or the next day. It's like your hair isn't used to the new style. Just wait it out! It will turn out fine! Trust me!

Well, tell your mom about it. Tell her in a calm way, you hate ur bangs. U could ask her if she or a different hairdresser could cut your hair again.
