Well, that isn't a good thing, because it is a ritual type of thing for you. It might relax you for the time being, but what are you going to do at work or anywhere else where you can't get to a shower.?? anything can be taken to far, and this is something that works for a moment, and then you are right back doing it again. Find a lot of things you can do for stress, go for a long walk,..pray, start counting your blessings, etc...Try to find the good things in your life, and focus on them

It is not normal to take that many showers, but if it relieves stress for you then I cannot see why this should be a problem. I find a nice long soak in the bath helps with my stress.

Well.... if that is an everyday thing....taking more than 2 showers a day can dry your skin out and make for one hell of a water bill.... however upon occasion its not such a bad idea. When my husband and I get in a big fight or I just have a million and half things on my mind...I take a hot shower...so its normal... as long as you keep it in check.

Sure. I personaly hop in the bath tub. It's where I relax, think, and block everybody else out. There are some days where I take a few, especially if I don't feel good. Your normal, just try not to stress so much it is not good for your body!

Ancient Greeks and Romans used public bathhouses and saunas to relieve stress also.
I feel better after a nice hot shower..Water is one of the elements of the earth that revitalizes us and makes us feel a part of the earth where we don't concentrate on just our problems alone.
Not only that ,but we are cleaner and don't stink.

it is normal. but don't make that a habit. it leads you to abnormality.one thing more if you're exhausted don't take a shower immediately coz it cause you spasm, or even a permanent spasm for the life time which you won't like to happen. discover different ways more comfortable. say....lay down comfortably and close your eyes then think of sweet nothing. hope this may help.

It could be the negative ions created by the shower that help relieve your stress its the same effect as the spa's as someone else has commented. At least you have found something harmless that helps, you can buy ionizers Boots sell them & I bought one of eBay that plugs into my car.

It's totally not. Many people do it. In fact it's very healhy compared to other coping methods. Unless you have a complusion to keep showering, that would be OCD. It's totally normal. Dont worry bout it.

HOPE THAT HELPS

Everybody does weird things when they are stressed. I compulsively clean my bathroom. Just don't let it take over your life. If it starts interfering with your regular activities, you may need some help.
