i recently purchased two female guinea pigs and now one of them is having health problems. she is losing fur all around her eye and it is getting dryed out and scabby with little white bumps. And yes, i did call the vet right away, but Ms. knows nothing receptionist tells me that they are all booked today and the best she can do is take a message to the vetrinarian and that maybe he will get back to me soon. PLEASE HELP!!

Guinea pigs get sarcoptic and demodectic mange. Sarcops can be transmitted to not only the other guinea but to you as well. Demodex cant be transmitted from her to others. It is pretty common in these guys and needs to be treated asap. They will start feeling pretty down once this sets in, theyre very sensitive to it. You need to take her to a vet and get her scraped to check for mites.

Try looking up on the website, or calling as many vets/people that would know of this asap.
For all that I know it could be ringworm.
Ringworm isn't actually worms, you just lose hair and you get small white circles on your skin, it could be anywhere.

call repedatly till they say yes or try another vet wut are u feeeding ur gunea pigs it can be a nutrition problem give them carrots and apples and lots of lettuce i rather not feed them commercial food it has to many filler i feed mine natural food it keeps them healthy and happy
