I am not catholic, but my favorite Saint is Saint Bosco. Because if you have ever read his story, it is a fascinating one. He had a series of dreams where God took him down into hell and showed him the many chambers of hell. Every night before he went to bed, he was scared of what was going to happen in his dreams, but he knew that God was showing him this so that he could come back and warn others about it. Check him out, if you have never, it is quite interesting. Plus, someone that I know is named after him.

Ascetic-Saint Acharya sri.Sankara---within 32 years of his life span,he travelled the entire length and breadth of Indian sub-continent (by walk- twice) and revived Hindu Religion in 2nd century A.D.(Buddhism was spread in the entire sub-continent at that time).All other Hindu saints put together has NOT composed as many devotional verses in Sanskrit as sri.Acharya Sankara.He completely codified the Hindu Religious Rituals--which is follwed even today.He is an intellectual collossus of gargantuan,humongous dimensions.But for him One Billion HindU Religion followers will NOT be there today in the world.

ME. The catholics got it all wrong. There is no scripture that speaks of cannonizing saints, Jesus said we are all saints, all children of God. Look it up.

Little Therese of the Child Jesus.
Because of her great love to God and how she completely forgot her own understanding and beliefs just to follow her mission. It's really hard and quite impossible to alter a fact but she did it because of her will.
