Want to buy terrier for hunting - which breed?

Heard patterdales were good as are Jagdterriers but not sure? Any experiences?

I'm open to instruction, but I believe that the use of terriers as hunting dogs has been out of style for some time.

I believe you can train a terrier to hunt, but it would depend on what you want to hunt.

I figure you can train any of the terriers to be squirrel dogs, but don't count on West Highland Whites for deer hounds.

Bear and elephant hunting would need a bigger breed!

Perhaps the Airdale.
