My advice to you would be to actually look outside your head for a change. You just might discover for yourself, what is fact and what is fiction and what is a "big joke" and what is not........
Reality is agreement and right now in the real world ( not the virtual, TV or media world) a hell of a lot of people disagree with you.
And for those who disagree with what is in your head
this is what Scientology is:
Scientology is an applied religious philosophy. By “applied” is meant that it is for use in life a living. You actually use it in your day to day life to change and improve existing conditions. It is a practical religion.
All religions if you study them have a basic philosophy, but they also have certain dogma, rituals and observances and a certain faith or belief is required. There is nothing wrong with this , but Scientology is not that kind of religion. It acknowledges the principle of God or the Supreme Being but does not try to define or describe this principle, leaving it up to the individual.
It is also not a messianic religion. This means there is no worship of prophets or messiahs.
It is not belief or faith based. In Scientology a truth is true for you according to your own observation and experience .
The dictionary definition that applies:
Religion: The spiritual or emotional attitude of one who recognises the existence of superhuman power or powers.
The most basic principle of Scientology is that YOU are your own immortal soul, that this is not a thing you have but what YOU actually are.
The whole purpose of Scientology's knowledge, application and procedure is to increase an individual’s understanding and awareness of himself and to rehabilitate his native abilities and potential.
When you do this there sphere and zones of his positive influence increases and moves outward into his life , his family and friends, his groups and Mankind of which he is part .
How this result is achieved is the “technology” of Scientology, which was developed by L Ron Hubbard from discoveries he made after extensive research into the field of the mind and the human spirit.
Some of this knowledge was already existing in the ancient texts of the Veda or Vedic Hymns going back 10,000 years. New and additional discoveries were made and fully recorded and codified .
Hubbard published 18 basic books from 1950 to 1953 to fully communicate these basic [rinciples and the path of his research. He completed all his research before his death in 1986 and left all his materials and copyrights to the Church of Scientology’s Religious Technology Centre along with most of his personal estate when he died.
Scientology considers that man is basically good which is different from many Christian religions who consider that he is born in sin and must be "made" good.
There are currently over 10 million Scientologists internationally in over 160 countries world wide. However it is still a new religion, less than 55 years old.
The true story of Scientology as a religion goes like this:
1. A philosopher developes a philosophy about life and death.
2. People find it interesting.
3. People find it works.
4. People pass it along to others.
5. It grows.
This is just an overview.
L.Ron Hubbard explained fully the theology and technologies of Scientology in more than 500,000 pages of writings, including dozens of books and over 3,000 tape recorded public lectures.

I doubt it. Yes, Hubbard was a fiction author as well as the founder of Scientology, which goes to prove ... exactly nothing. Yes, there was reportedly a comment by someone in the late 40's that the way to make real money would be to start a religion (possibly Hubbard, but also various others attributed including Bob Heinlein).
But realistically, it didn't happen that way. Hubbard started a SELF HELP therapy called Dianetics, which became hugely popular over night. The religion of Scientology didn't come about until several years later, after it became apparent that some people were running into material which could be viewed as having come from an earlier life.
The original Dianetics Research Foundation - which had outside managers - tried to stop this line of research, so Hubbard dumped them (rather than deny his own integrity) and founded a religion. Yes, there are some who will say this was a tax dodge. In fact, there are some for whom nothing but the utter destruction of the subject is good enough. They are rightly called BIGOTS.
Now, moving right along, if Hubbard's only reason for forming a religion was personal greed, why the heck did he keep writing and lecturing all over the world and advising church management (after he formally handed over management to others in 1967) and researching and ... you get how stupid this is? If it were about money, he would have taken the first few million bucks and vanished.
So, this shows how dumb YOU all are for believing such a lame piece of black public relations. Oh, and Scientology CAN handle that, believe me.
DON'T KEEP BEING SUCKERED BY PEER GROUP PRESSURE, PERSONAL LOW I.Q. AND NEGATIVE PEOPLE.
FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF.
And have a really nice day.

It was started by a science fiction writer who used to take excursions on boats out in the ocean with young boys. A child molesting science fiction writer, would you want to join that club? Yes, they are a cult, and regardless of the population of their celebrity following, they are way off center. Celebrity endorsement does not mean it's right, safe or normal. The majority of celebs join up for drug rehabilitation or a "spin doctor" to get them out of some ruckus they have caused. It is a clique just like any other strange group of people. For the love of Mike, they think our emotions come from dead aliens who were dropped into a volcano by an evil alien dictator who flew them all in a space ship hovering over the earth - sound like a science fiction author to you? Some of the members are very good people, and would probably be anyway if they had sought their drug rehabilitation elsewhere, but they give credit to their "church" rather than their own generosity for their fellow man/woman. Yes, be very, very afraid.

It is a well documented fact that scientology was invented by a science fiction writer (L. Ron Hubbard) on a bet with several other authors.

The author surely knew that Scientology was fictional, but he was very seriously bent on using it to make money. It is a BUSINESS and a CULT, and though it claims to be a religion (it even bullied the IRS into granting it tax-free status) it most certainly is NOT.

Christianity is logical and rational, if people ACTUALLY do their research and investigation.
L Ron Hubbard is the creator of scientology, and through philosophical deduction, he thought that religion is one of the best ways of making money whilst observing how many "suckers" can believe his "religion". I believe that L Ron Hubbard believed his own religion was meant to be a joke, given his experiences as a science fiction writer.
I consider it no more than a cult, and already it is showing signs of breakdown (typical of cults) through bad media.
Unless there is anyone who can show signs of what they consider as "proof" (whether it is historical or rational based) promoting Scientology, I reject their ideology.
