use a wide tooth comb for starters...don't brush it when it's wet or you'll break your hair...before you shower brush your hair, and then when youre in the shower, put a ton of conditioner in it, and then before you wash it out comb it with a very wide tooth comb...then gently rinse out the conditioner. when you get out of the shower blot your hair with a towel, don't rub it. and then use a spray in detangler(pantene pro-v has one) liberally around the part that gets really tangled...then comb your hair out slowly starting from the bottom working your way to the top....hope this helps:)

Try getting a wide toothed comb and combing it out with the shampoo still in, then rinsing and combing again. And don't pile your hair on top of your head, that causes knots for everyone. Massage shampoo down into your hair, coating all your hair by getting chunks right at your scalp, and rubbing shampoo down to the ends. After you rinse, comb through again and dry it by squeezing your hair with a towel, not by ruffling it around, etc. Hope this helps.

When you get in the shower, bring a brush. The shampoo works well when you rinse it, but when you get out it gets messed up. Brush your hair when you are rinsing. It will get soft too! When you get out start to use detangler. Use a wide-toothed comb for about a week. Then, try to shower how you used too. If you still get tangles, continue to do what I said above. It should be getting used to being smooth, and stop getting tangles. Worked for me (: . You should also ask your stylist.

Good luck. Glad to help.
