Can I hold the bible between my butt cheeks?
Sorry, I don't want to sink to your level.
Why don't you ask yourself why you don't give up all those fictional entities and deal with the real universe where magical sky-fairies only exist in cartoons and such.

Your religion makes no sense. It is entirely insane at its root.
I'm not Muslim, but having studied both Christianity and Islam, I've found that Islam makes a lot more sense.
Most other religions make more sense than Christianity as well.
Your Bible makes statements such as the wisdom of men is like the foolish of god. However, its clear that it would be more accurate to say that the insanity of men is like the sanity of god. If your religion is true, then your heaven would be an insane asylum. Which would be a fitting final destination for you.
By the way, rather than holding a Bible "in your hand", there are now better ways available to look at scriptures. Try checking out http://www.biblegateway.com/ . This website makes it easy to look at any verse in over 20 different translations. It also has multiple commentaries on most passages in the Bible.

I'm an atheist. I've read the Bible.
Most protestants read the Bible, and most Muslims read a retelling of the Bible with additional details in Arabic. It's called the Qu'ran.
Why don't Catholics convert to Islam? What makes Catholicism better than Hinduism, Islam, Protestantism, Judaism, or whatever?
As to your question, I have no desire to convert, and were I to convert, it wouldn't do any good since I don't believe in God. It would have to be sincere, and I cannot be sincere what with the fact that I don't believe in God. I fail to see how Satan has anything to do with this.
Besides, no matter WHAT I choose, I'm not going to heaven, since I do not believe heaven to exist. :)
Peace,

If I am correct the Jewish People wrote the Bible. Their Bible is the correct Bible.
About 200 years after Christ the Christian Bible was written. Christians believe that their Bible is the correct Bible.
About 300 years later Mohamed came to be and the Koran was written. Muslims believe that their Bible is the correct Bible.
And today there are about 3000 or so other types of religions. Each with their own Bible or Book of Laws. They believe their Bible is the correct Bible.
My question back to you is, who made you God? You are no more right than any other person. Learn to listen, more than speak. Read more than blindly accept. Who knows the man on the corner might be the reincarnation of Christ.

I have several translations in the bookcase near my desk, was there a particular version that I should use? I have a well work KJV that I used for places that only accepted it and a replacement NIV for the first one I wore out. I repect the work that went into their translation but also acknowldege that there is no evidence that they anything other than Myth wrapped around history.
So, no, no conversion. I was there and will not go back without compelling evidence.
Edit:
I should have known that I would be one of many atheists to have bibles running around.

I have no less than three Bibles, all less than ten meters from where I sit. Which one should I hold in my hand while I type the answer to your question? King James good for you? OK, hold on...
...Holding the Bible in my right hand, typing with the left, which is why I'm taking so long...
...No, I do not want to convert.
And now I'm using both hands again, I may reconsider if you can show me the slightest little piece of evidence to support your claim that the Bible is true.
Otherwise, cheers for the two points.

I've read the Bible (note the initial capital letter). I've read the Latin Vulgate, the New Testament in Greek and I've read several English versions.
May I suggest some things for you to read?
"Why We Believe What We Believe" by Andrew Newberg
"Doubt, A History" by Jennifer Hecht
"The Bible Unearthed" by Finkelstien and Silberman
When you've read those, come back and we'll have a conversation. At present, I seem to be a book or two ahead of you.

I can quote the bible to you frontwards and backwards. The bible and its god gave me a breakdown. People were not meant to be controlled by anyone else. It makes one very ill. 30 years I lived a christian life. I got out of christianity and now I am happier than I have ever been. You want the truth? Find yourself without any books, religion or preconceived ideas. Then you will find the truth.

I strongly suspect you have not actually read very much of the bible, or you would realize that whether or not God is there, the bible is clearly the work of man. Any deity capable of doing the things many people believe God is responsible for would not have "inspired" such a seriously lacking & flawed document!
You should study it a little.

Ok ..... Let me pick up the bible from under the table ..... it is acting as the support for the broken leg of the table.....
No, I do not want to convert, I do not wish to live in delusion, I do not believe in god or satan.
I do not believe a liar who said he would be coming back during the generation of his disciple .... which is over 2000 years overdue.
Now .... would you not READ the bible and THINK what is it trying to say and not RATIONALISE it.
