Wondering...like if businesses and all that.
can they legally give a minor a check, and can that minor legally use that money??

Yes it's legal, my nieces grandmother sends her checks for birthday's and holidays. My sister just deposits them in her account since they have the same last name.

Should be no different for a minor. You can have your parents open up a savings account for you to deposit that money into and you should be able to withdraw money from that account, you'll probably need your parents to also be there when you withdraw. You cannot have a checking account until 18.

Yes it is legal to give a check to a minor, it is legal document payment and they can cash it to.

Of course it's legal! Plenty of minors have jobs and virtually all of them are paid by check! Whatever would make you think it's not legal??

It's not illegal. I have tried using a check to purchase my old PlayStation and also I tried using a check while paying my school fees.
