usually takes within 12 weeks for most people...97%

some take alittle longer because of health reasons such as immune disorders ( very rare) ull know if u have them earlier in life, as well as iv users.

dont rely on symptoms..lol i had some symptoms from my exposure and thought i had it, but they were due to stress. i worried my butt off for nothing. people who've tested me that have HIV have even said they didnt have symptoms or theyre similar to normal infections.

everyone will become positive by 6 months, people who say they took longer, its because they OFTEN dont know the exact day of exposure and can at times be promiscuous, not knowing which partner may have infected them

there are new sites that say the test window is 3 months, at my clinic ive heard different window periods from different nurses. i stayed with the 6 month period to be sure.

i just took my test at 8 months because i forgot to close the window period at 6 months, i took mine at 5 and was negative, just have to go in sometime this week and get my results, im not stressing, because i did that for months and it made my life hell lol.
