at 7 years old, it's possible that she's not pregnant, but that she's developing tumors in her belly area. Since you can't do a biopsy at home, and there are no pregnancy tests for dogs, the only way is to bring her to the vet. That way you can know if it's cancer or not.

Usually when dog's are pregnant their sides are seem to "Round Out" so it almost looks like a bowling ball is sitting in there. Her stomach can also become fairly tight feeling and her nipples tend to sick out quite a bit more. If dogs are pregnant, then it usually takes around 63 days for puppies to be born. Look for additude changes in her. If she's pregnant, later on she'll start digging/scratching and tearing up things in a certain area. This is a denning instinct and it shows that she's trying to find or make a comfortable place for her to give birth. Also if she isnt spayed on way to tell, is if she comes into heat. When she comes into heat, she should be bleeding a bit, with the possibility to have some blood on the floor.
Hope this helps

YOU can't not until she is well out of heat and into the middle of her pregnancy. Times are rough for everyone and yet other people have managed to get their dogs foxed. If you have had your male for more than a year you have had PLENTY of time to get him fixed. Call around find a low cost spay/neuter clinic if you have to but GET HER SPAYED ASAP. She is a PUPPY and does NOT need to give birth period. Mark: If you actually knew anything - that includes how to properly own and intact female, you would know that NO ONE ON THIS BOARD LIKES PETA. REAL dog owners and and REAL animal lovers like all of us hate PETA with a passion since PETA is against pet ownership. I also answered her flipping question. The truth is until this dog is far along in her pregnancy she CAN'T tell if her dog is pregnant or not since a ***** in false pregnancy wiLl have the EXACT SAME SIGNS. Oh and to whomever made the comment about coyotes and wolves: IMMATURE BITCHES DO NOT GET A CHANCE TO BREED. Wolves - only the alpha ***** in a pack breeds. An alpha ***** is MUCH older than 6 months. Coyotes: Immature females stay with their mother and father for at LEAST 2-3 years before finding their own mates. In that time they help rear their younger siblings. They do NOT have pups of their own.

You need to get that dog to the vet. If the dog has been spayed there is something else VERY wrong!! If she is pregnant, you need to know NOW. You would think you would have noticed her in heat. It is quite a obvious thing!!!

There is no way to find out without taking her to the vet...While you're there, make an appointment to have her spayed!

DIY ? You could wait and see. She might have mammary tumors, or fatty tumors. Why are you being so cheap when it comes to your dog ?

Why are you delaying veterinary treatment?
Are you really this stupid, or just trolling?
