Can you explain to me why you didn't spend a little more time to clear up your question to make it understandable?

The planet earth's formation is not covered by the theory of evolution. That is covered by astronomy and geology. As far as life on earth evolving, that fact is supported by the observable evidence. Darwin did not just make some stuff up and write a book (a la the bible). He observed some facts, and created a possible explanation (a hypothesis). Years of study and experimentation have borne out his central hypothesis, which was (in rather basic terms): organisms will change gradually over time in response to environmental pressures, culminating in large changes in the structure and behavior of these organisms. With our current level of understanding of genetics and the mechanism of DNA, we understand the agent of these changes, and, in a broad sense, how new species form. To reject evolution is to reject the scientific process as a whole, which is to reject all of human learning, from the advent of fire and the wheel all the way up to modern times.

It being scientific fact would have something to do with it. Actually it's not a matter of faith or belief, those are for thing like Santa, evolution is a proven theory so you research it, read about it and study it.

Can you explain how anyone could be educated enough to use a computer but have no clue about basic science?

Athiest isnt someone who believes that earth evolved and stuff... its just someone who deosnt believe in god or religion...

I personally think that being an Athiest is weird but then again i dont believe in religion but do believe in god...

I dont think there is anything wrong in believing what you want as long as you dont force others to go with you if they dont want..

Not all athiests believe in evolution.
I'm not an athiest, but I don't have a faith.
I don't give a damn as to how we were created. I don't want to live in the past of something that's still barely even clear.

Okay, I believe it because I have read extensively on the subject and all the evidence and facts presented to me resonated with my understanding of what is rational and true. I don't have "faith" that it's true; I accept the current knowledge because it's based on testable evidence. So, now can you please explain to me why you can possibly believe that this earth was created in six days about 10,000 years ago.

Due to the sceintific evidence that supports such theories. Anyway, not all atheists believe in evolution, and not all people who believe in evolution are atheist by any means. And yes, you should be asking this in the Science section, this has nothing to do with religion.

Um we don't have to believe it. It's reality. And it's spelled "Earth" by the way.
As for the D dude, his name was Darwin and his research is over 100 years old. Do you go to a doctor who uses 100 year old instruments and techniques?
Neither do we. We acknowledge is contribution, but don't rely on all his findings.

Your question has nothing to do with atheism. Atheists don't believe in gods - that's it.

You are asking a science question in the wrong section of Yahoo Answers. But to answer your question, people (that includes atheists and theists) believe in Darwin's theory of evolution, because it is one of the most supported theories of science.

why does it matter. just get over it. You believe what you believe. And other people believe in their beliefs. If some people believe that earth evolved by evolution, then for them thats their beliefs. If you don't believe that whatever get over it

Since you don't even know the name of that "weird D dude" I'm going to assume that trying to explain myself to you would be a waste of my time.
