Despite the tens of Thousands of peer-reviewed papers supporting Evolution. Despite thousands of transitional fossils. (which you claim don't exist)
Despite the fact that there isn't a single solitary shred of evidence supporting the existence of your imaginary sky pixie.
Yet you still persist in your childish belief that somehow, some being "up there somewhere" created the universe and everything in it on a whim?
Do you all still believe in Santa or the Easter bunny too? Because there is as much evidence for their existence as there is for you god's...
Here are a couple of links for you to ignore, they're scientific and are based in reality, so they're probably not for you;
Evolution is a fact AND a theory;
http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/evolution-fact.html
Transitional fossils;
http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/faq-transitional.html
And last but not least, 29 evidences for Macro evolution;
http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/comdesc/section1.html#pred4
There you go. Ignore at will.

Oops, left that "the" in there before the word 'man' by accident.
No need to mention it, Yahoo doesn't allow you to edit the question after it's been posted for some reason.

Jimithy,
True but we're dealing with majorities here, not specifics. The question would be three pages long in that case...

Body,
I was waiting for you to finish. Thankfully I did.
Your comment about humans evolving from monkeys shows a total lack of even the very basic understanding of the evolutionary process.
We did NOT evolve from monkeys. Monkeys, Apes and Orangutans share a common ancestor with Humans. It's called common descent. If you hadn't ignored the links I posted, you'd know that.
But ignorance is far easier than reading isn't it?

Get a grip,
Fine, you say that design is a fact, go ahead and prove it. Provide ONE single credible shred of evidence supporting your position.
Go ahead, you'd be the first person in history to do so.

Leviathan,
You are SO right. And if I did open their mind with a mallet, there wouldn't be enough to spread onto a small waterbiscuit. The answers from them here are proof of that.

The stupidity of creationists is really staggering. I find myself asking questions like 'how can someone that dumb be able to communicate as if they were also a sentient being?'
One person said evolution is real but complex lifeforms didnt come from nowhere - well what is that? I believe in hamburgers but not in beef? I wish these people had a desire to learn about the universe, they'd all be cured so quickly.
What's with this 'there's a reason its called FAITH' school of thought? The more unlikely it is, the more god will like me for sticking my head deeper and deeper in the sand?
If God did exist he'd have to prefer intellectual honesty than that kind of wilful ignorance.
Good luck getting through to the creationists. The only way to open the mind of a creationist is with a heavy mallet.

They both can exist. Your definition of Macro Evolution is not the same as mine. I believe those links (I went to the one on Macro Evolution) do not mention an evolutionary leap in intelligence. No fossil record can show an animal gaining a conscience like humans have. They have emotions and can learn but they do not know right from wrong they can be trained not to do something but they don't know that it is really wrong. example a monkey steals my bannana is it a thief? They also do not ponder and invent like humans. This type of Macro Evolution can not be proven because the mind does not leave a fossil record. When you find an animal that all of a sudden has human conscience and the ability to invent please get back to me.

Science does reveal the fact that living things were created. This is something demonstrated by scientific discoveries, which we may call "design." When we examine the fantastically complex structures in living things, we see that they possess such extraordinary design features that they can never be accounted for by natural processes and coincidences. Every instance of design is evidence for an intelligence; therefore, we must conclude that life, too, was designed by an intelligence. Since this intelligence is not present in matter, it must belong to a nonmaterial wisdom-a superior wisdom, an infinite power, that rules all of nature… In short, life and all living things were created. This is not a dogmatic belief like materialism, but the result of scientific observation and experiment.
Not ignoring it. Evolution does exist but to assume that complex life just happened, cannot be explained.
So to add to your comical rant there are many scientists out there that do agree with the thought of intelligent design proportionally.
You may get better answers with less condescending attitude.

Thing is, if you are brought up believing that blue is right and red is wrong by the people you trust the most (parents) and then you surround yourself with people who believe the exact same thing lets call this social group "church" and we only read all about blue and red is apostate literature so we would "never" even consider this philosophy. Hmm wonder how we end up with such narrow minded religious people in the world. Sad

In America, we have freedom of religion. That means everyone has the right to believe (or not to believe) whatever they choose.
Why does what someone else belives bother some people so much? Just live and let live. People belive what makes sense to them personally. Some have faith in God, others have faith in science, many are somewhere in between. Whatever works.
But attacking or insulting someone for their beliefs (or lack thereof) is just wrong in my opinion.

And you say that we Christians are brainwashed?
I will just respond to ONE of your points: the issue of "thousands of transitional fossils". If there were, why did Stephen J Gould (a prominent evolutionist) had to come up with 'punctuated equilibrium'?
Also, do you know that the peppered moth does not prove evolution? ONE: those moths live among the leaves and not on the trunk. TWO: those pictures were fakes, as admitted by evolutionists. THREE: both moths were there; one did not change into the other !!

I'd like to point out that not all Christians are stuck in the dark ages, and not all scientists are Atheists. I know plenty of really smart people that believe in both. Face it, they are the majority, but the minority, the really ignorant ones, they are louder. As for me, "Bob" is the way.

Why can't I believe in both evolution AND God?
Why must they be mutually exclusive?
No Christian can deny that dinosaurs existed or that glaciers once covered New York State. The evidence is real. The Bible actually mentions a period of time during which these events could have happened.
Evolution is stickier. We may have evolved from monkeys, but we're not monkeys anymore! The problem I have with evolution is that it makes people look like mere animals. We're not -- God gave us dominion over them, and he didn't give them souls, just spirits and bodies.
You seem angry. You really don't want to believe in God. What are you scared of?

I hope you feel better after that rant.
You are generalizing.
I have never claimed that fossils do not exist. They do.
You are being bigoted and intolerant.
I, at least, am open-minded enough to accept those who are different than I am.
I am willing to concede that their theory might have some validity. You are unwilling to admit that your theory might not be 100% correct.
That makes you closed-minded.
You've already made up your mind. You hate Christians.

I have plenty of other evidence to come to the conclusion that there is a Creator, that He has a name, and that He is working in my life. Now if you could give me evidence that doesn't use may haves, could of's, or supposedly's, I may take it sreiuosly.
