Given how much hatred for illegal aliens has been expressed on this board, I was wondering how many of you think illegal immigrants should be killed? Several people have said that the U.S. should build a minefield along the border with Mexico. Several others have also said that anyone found to be in the U.S. illegally should be instantly shot. Rather strange, since most people rant about how inhumane it is to use the Death Penalty on murderers and rapists. Do you support a policy like this, such as having a mine field on the border, stationing troops on the border to shoot anyone trying to enter the U.S., or perhaps a policy of immediately shooting anyone found to be in the U.S. illegally? And if so, do you really think that illegal aliens are as dangerous (or more dangerous than) murderers?

We did have the National Guard on the borders and they did NOT shoot people and except for an incident of a guard smuggling illegal immigrants, the flow of illegals across the border did slow down in those areas.
We should close the border to all but legal traffic and go after employers who hire illegal labor with fines for hiring plus closely scrutinize their tax records to assure that all taxes are paid and if not that employer should face fines, penalties and whatever else the IRS can throw at them, as well as going after the illegal for back taxes and then deport them with a set of instructions on how to immigrate legally. Employers need to be held accountable for not only hiring the illegal labor but for any taxes that are not paid, that is the responsibility of the employer.
I don't know anyone who thinks we should execute illegals except for a couple of trolls on this forum who like to stir up trouble.

No. The reason for illegal immigration is that it's almost impossible to get a Green Card unless you marry a citizen or another Green Card holder. Or you can have a parent or a child that is a citizen that can sponsor you. There is a limited number of visa available for siblings, but the waiting list for that is 10-20 years. There is a Visa Lottery where they give around 50,000 visa to foreign citizens from counrties with low immigration to the USA. But there's no gaurantee you will ever be selected. It's very difficult to become a U.S. citizen now. It's not like how it was when Ellis Island was operating.

I do think that some illegal aliens are as dangerous as murderers but NOT all of them. Just like not all white people are racist, and not all black people are in gangs. Illegals get a bad rap for being here illegally but otherwise they are very law abiding. Everyone thinks that they don't pay taxes and they are getting government help and while there are some that do not all of them do. I do not think that we should do something as drastic as shooting them and putting mine fields on the border because I think that what people are forgetting here is that they are HUMAN BEINGS. What if I was in that situation? Everyone is against the war in Iraq because we are killing innocent people and alot of lives have been taken but what is the difference in this and the war in Iraq?

No. That is just silly. America just needs to begin enforcing the immigration laws on everybody, not just those people who are doing the right thing by coming here legally.

Illegal aliens are an invading and occupying army that is intent on stealing our land, so yes, they should be repelled and executed if necessary. Why our idiot politicians do not treat them as the law breaking invaders that they are is perplexing.
