From my observations there are women who are gossips and there are women who are sluts. Rarely have I seen one that is both although they do exist. So my question is to all the women here, do you guard or not?
In Islam we are taught to do this, sometimes gossiping can be an issue for me.

can go the mosque and have been to the mosque and prayed there. Some churches keep men and women separate. Why do I NEED to be next to the men? I don't want that. My values are different than yours I guess.

How do I know? I must be involved in gossip? No way! These co-workers tell me all about their private lives and all anybody needs to do is turn on the tv and see what is happening in the world and they would see tons of sluts.

Well it is normal unfortunately to gossip, I think everyone does. Now I am not saying it is right..but its normal.. As far as being a slut...nooooooooooo.. That has never happened and never will happen, and I am 61 years old.. I have too much respect for myself to ever stoop that low.

You say..."from my observations" suggests that you must be on the receiving end of gossip or present when these women are "being sluts.," as you alledge. Where are you and what are you doing that you are "observing" this? The higher you try to ride on your high horse...the harder the fall...in Texas, we are taught this!

I ain't no woman, but since you attemped to say Islam is better? tell them why you are treated like chattel! You can't even go into the mosque and pray with the men, you are separate, is it because of (recless eyeballs?) Then what about lieing? YOU sin too!

You seem to fixated on lips and are skirting the issue of sin, which is spiritual. Instead of lips, guarding your heart will successfully prevent other types of violations also.

Define a slut please. And why do you care what a woman does with her body? If she uses protection, then more power to her if she wants to have sex.
Gossipping is like lying in my opinion, both can come back to bite you in the butt, so I try not to engage in either.

To each thier own, but I think that women should be able to have sex with whoever they want. Are Islamic men taught not to have sex or are there double standards?
