The fact that it puts everything into perspective for me, calms me when im feeling confused, angry, or depressed, makes me happy when i am praying or reading up on it, and that it gives you meaning in your life. I love it and am very proud to be a Muslim:)

As a Presbyterian ministers daughter I once enjoyed claiming it as my religion. I moved to Santa Monica and joined a local church for a couple of years. Then I became more inquisitive and earnest in studying the Bible - growing spiritually. I began to hear ministers of the church and congregation claim the Bible to be the word of man, not the word of God. I realized it had become a social club for politicos, misfits, a business for profit, theater for plays and concert arena. It was no longer a refuge for Believers. I tried other churches without good results. I no longer claim any religious affiliation; however, I do not condemn anyone for being religious. I do not classify it as a 'bunch of crap'. But, calling itself a Christian church is contradictory to what the Bible teaches and not where I belong.
It is not my place to judge anyone for their beliefs.

When you come across one of the seemingly few 'seasoned' Christians. They seem to have a radiance about them full of love, joy, caring, hope, and peace. They fully trust God and the answers they give you and things they say confirm the impression you get. Its these people who almost seem like angels give me a great surge of hope that Christ can and does change people and the Holy Spirit does empower disciples... the presence of many who claim Christ but pretty much ignore Him and his teachings are easier to bear and I hope that I can be more like those people I meet every so often. This is something I enjoy very much, however I don't know if it is the greatest thing, since knowing you have a steady relationship with Christ is actually what causes such people to exist.

I don't like calling my beliefs "religion" ... I am very spiritual. In my mind religion is like politics.. you agree to follow rules and people. Spirituality is personal, and no one tells you how to feel or act.
That being said ... I like my beliefs because they force me to think before I act about how my actions will effect others. I have no last minute forgiveness and all is right ... I have to live every minute of every day with a knowledge that what I do will have a wave on effect to many others ... therefore, I must be kind and caring and careful. And when I go to bed at night and know that I did my best to achieve this ... its all good.... and if I failed, I have another day to make it right!

Well I am a Baptist, but most of all a child of the King. The best thing I love about serving God is the joy, love, witnessing, praying, and reading his word. I love going to church and being among other believers. I love anything that is of God.

the teaching and the people, and no..islam is not stupid or violent but people are. The teaching of islam is indeed very sacred and concerning human relationship rather than violent and revenge.
People created violent not the religion itself. You go dig and learn first before making any comment you so called Ex-Muslims!!!!!!

You can't enforce "non-religious exclusion" on a public forum. That's prejudiced. The non-religious will post that they enjoy the freedom that comes with escaping the confines of religion, whether you demand it or not!
