An atheist is a person who does not believe in deities of any sort, and does not profess any religion. In short, an atheist is a person without religious beliefs.

The meaning of the word atheist is straightforward: Atheists are people without belief in God, gods, or any supernatural entity. Atheists place facts ahead of superstitious, fairy-tale methods of thinking.

atheism = "a" + "theism" = "without" + "belief in deity".
So atheism is simply having no belief in the existence of deity.
That's ALL the word means. That's ALL you can be sure of when somebody identifies as an atheist. You can't always conclude that all atheists think science is the only way to answer questions, or that they have no supernatural beliefs, or have no religious beliefs (there are non-theistic religoins out there).

A person who accepts the fact that his/her Creator might exist yet chooses a path in life that excludes that possibility. A person who decides that the absence of God is worth more than the presence of God.

Here is what i want you to do, go to a zoo and look at the "monkey section" now what you will see is their Grandparents(Hey its not my fault, they are the ones who say that) so you will have an idea on wha they look like, I mean the fruit does not fall far from the tree right???
