Oh, he doesn't have to BELIEVE in God. He knows God is there. He goes and taunts Him, standing before the throne. He attacks the children of God with stuff like, "well, if you do this or that, they won't love you anymore." What a jerk.

Yes if the devil existed of course he'd believe in God. The same way Micky Mouse believes Donald Duck is his friend and not just an animated figure.

The Devil is supposed to be a fallen angel and in the Bible he often talks with God, for example when they do this crual bet about Job, so why in hell wouldn't he believe in God (if he existed)?

We Catholics believe the devil (spoiler alert, Star Wars fans) is actually an old ally of G-d's, the ex-angel Lucifer, gone to the "dark side (original). It would be pretty tough to believe Satan doesn't believe himself in the one who threw him into Gehenna.

Yes - it is clearly defined in the scriptures "Even the demons believe in one GOD....and shudder".
And why shouldn't they? Unlike some of the atheists on this board - the devil is not stupid.

i think so....coz the bible said its GOD who sent the devil to hell....
thats why the devil believes that GOD exist....

Exactly! and he knows the scriptures better than anyone. Therefore he must know that in the long run he can't win, so in the meantime he is roaming around trying to get as many converts as he can.
