Would you create life, and if you would, would it be with free will or robots?

No point in making robots.
I'd create a whole universe but I'd let it run on natural laws and just observe. Then I'd see how quickly the creatures that arose would make up some mythical being who they thought was interested in their tiny pointless lives.
You wouldnt need to make an after-life - once they died they wouldn't be able to complain could they? I'd just recreate one after they'd died to speak to them for a while. Not on just one world, but millions.

....these are the kinds of hypotheticals that only interest those who are floundering around in doubt, chaos, confusion and unbelief.

I would absolutely create life with free will. Think of the centuries of entertainment I would enjoy watching them behave like idiots.

Yes I would create life that has free will, this would be the mark of a loving God and not a dictorial one.

Having given birth twice, I can understand a little why God created life, what a precious thing it is!
I would not want to create a creature who did not choose to love me, I'd want them to decide to love me on their own.
