theres a stain on the dark green countertop, at a house i clean,i may have somehow inadvertantly did this, even tho i have no clue as to how or what did it, it may have been caused by BLEACH< LYSOL< A MIXTURE OF VINIGER AND WATER??? i don't know,! none of the bottoms were damp or wet, but there IS a stain, and it is half a cresant shape. like that of the bottle bottom. and it was not there before i cleaned.it's not a granite top, not sure on what it is! nor is it marble. thanks.

It might be best to go to a homebuilders store and try to get some expert advice on what to use to remove the stain.

This will work for either laminate or formica countertops:
Use dishwasher detergent GEL let it sit on stain for a few minutes then wipe away and rinse well.
You may also try a paste of baking soda and water--let it sit for at least 5 minutes and then rinse.

Before you start treating the stain, you need to know what it is that you are working on....whether it's formica or Corian, etc. There are specific cleaners for each kind of laminate. Know what you're working with before you start putting things on it or you'll end up with a worse stain!
