Daylight saving starts on Sunday 28 October 2007 at 2am when clocks are put forward one hour.
Pending Parliament's consideration of a Bill to extend daylight saving, the position at present is that daylight saving ends on Sunday 30 March 2008 at 3am, when clocks are put back one hour. Note that if the legislation is passed, daylight saving will end on Sunday 6 April 2008.

This year it's the 28th of October. Below is a link to the government site that has the daylight saving details. If you're a bit internet jaded and don't want to click on the link below just do a search on the NSW government, go to their portal site and you should be able to confirm the info quite easily.

Daylight saving begins on 28 October this year. Next year it will be earlier. ozgurl6827 is ahead of herself. This is from the State Attorney General's Department:
On 27 June 2007 the Premier announced that legislation would be introduced to provide New South Wales residents with extra daylight saving.
There will be no change in New South Wales to the start of the daylight saving period this year, scheduled for 28 October 2007, the last Sunday in October.
A Bill is presently before Parliament and will be debated in the current session.
If the Bill is passed, daylight saving will begin at 2 am, Eastern Standard Time, on the first Sunday in October and end at 3 am summer time on the first Sunday in April. This change would take effect at the end of the 2007/2008 summer, if the legislation is passed. This means that residents in New South Wales would have an additional three weeks of daylight saving at the beginning and one week at the end.
The decision to harmonise daylight saving across the south-eastern states and the ACT was made after careful consideration of the impact on both rural and urban communities.
The extended period will provide uniformity for business activities conducted across state lines and is consistent with the Council of Australian Governments' focus on reducing regulatory burdens on business.
