Oh yes. My father had a terrible temper. At the slightest thing my brother and i would get a slap. On one occasion my brother and I broke his favourite mug so he dragged us upstairs by our hair and threw us into our bedrooms.
This was many years ago now and my father is terribly ashamed of what he used to do, to the point that it can never be spoken about.
Even though I dont have kids just yet, I know I would never smack them.

Yea, not like abuse or anything. But honestly, all it did was install a fear in me, of my father. To this day, i truly think that's why we are distant, because he was never a loving kind of father. I don't honestly remember the last time we hugged, and im almost 15. Oh well. . . it's all good. If it's one thing i've learned, love those who love you back, or all that comes your way is heartache.

No all they had to do was look at me Cross eyed if I did something bad as a kid and I turn the tears on. Got out of getting the belt.
