my father's because he isn't here
We do have pictures of him around the house. Today, I spotted one of him as a boy, and it made me smile. He looked so tousled-haired and ornery. It was a hint of what he would be.
My father died just after his 47th birthday back in the mid-'70s, but his smiling, handsome face is imprinted in my thoughts. I imagine my mother might say the same thing. She's remained a widow, saying she couldn't be lucky enough to find someone like him again, even though some of his shortcomings drove her crazy, or so she says then laughs. She's a planner; Dad liked surprises and procrastinated. She likes to be homebound; Dad always wanted to go on adventures. I guess opposites do attract!

I remember the face of my very first love of my life ..... actually she was and is the only love of my life ...... she has passed away .... from what her Mother tells me.
we were together from 1972 til 1974 ....... still in love with today ....... true love to say the least .... best woman a man could ever have ....... = (

I never (I think) close my eyes and see my own face. I ofter see my mothers. Sometimes I even see my cat
