If Hasbro were to offer online MONOPOLY where you could play and chat online to people all over the world would you be interested.

There could be weekly tournaments with an entry fee and cash prizes for winners and runners up.

No, Monopoly is a simplistic game, easy to master, the pleasures of which are directly comparable to capitalism in the real world in which crushing your competitors to dust is the object. What's more, the nature of this game is that as your opponents suffer, YOU gain, which means it promotes feeling happy at the suffering of others.

This is not a game that engenders fun for anyone except the ultimate winner and indeed, it promotes thoroughly immoral values.

Hooking up online where we could 'chat to people all over the world' is a matter to which Monopoly competitions are utterly irrelevent! Who needs such a thing? Either you're out to win 'cash prizes' or you're out to socialise; casinos already exist, chat rooms already exist, telephones exist, real world environments exist!

I repeat: No, no, no, no, no!

No. I prefer the personal interaction that you get when you sit around a table with people that you will soon humiliate and destroy with your excellent play.
