not sure if they still do this but they used to..when a woman is raped she is given the choice of either marrying her attacker or both him and her going to prison (because in there eye's it was more the womans fault for making the man do that)

For any crimes committed such as light crime to serious crime, it can be Bought Off (means Settled) by Paying Blood Money.

It means that for example that an Indonesian Maid is Murdered by the Employer, the employer can be acquited by paying Blood Money to the deceased parents. If accepted by the immediate family, the Guy who committed the crime is left off the Hook.
