I work with elderly people and have for about 6 years, so I've had to call several times.

witnessed a couple of car accidents that I've called 911 for...
what's major bs is that if you call 911 from a phone on campus (I go to college and live in a dorm) then the call doesn't go through to 911...it goes to the rent a cop station, and they decide if they need further assistance....just another way for colleges to cover up scandals and keep stuff hush hush

nn.. nooo.. BUT there was talk recently.. whispers that our country was going to change it's emergency number to 911 to be the same as US of A... i think there was public outrage and the idea was scrapped and fast! Americans trying VERY hard to get their hooks into my country at present.. so some knob suggested we adopt 911.. how pathetic..
so NO I never had to ring it

fire my house was destroyed then the dumpster at our business imploded
medical emergencies have major health issues that need attention all the time
wrecks a few wrecks witnessed on the interstate
