It's true, the conservatives favor the Jews. Why? The Jews have power in Congress, a good amount of white Christian Republicans/Democrats view the Jews as persecuted people.

In reality, Israel is a complete foreign policy disaster. When you consider politics, the only thing that you should consider is the facts, deciding to make any political decision on emotion is pure folly. In the facts, Israel is not a strong military force. They may be well trained, but if they were ever to come against a major country (Any EU country, Russia, China, etc.) they would lose based on sheer number.

Israel is unstable, and unreliable. They expect support from the US but offer nothing tangible in return. In political terms, it's a no brainer. Cut Israel, do a whole lot better.
